This website, restaurantpanama.com, presents the Santa Rita and Aya la Vida restaurants in Casco Antiguo, Panama City. Here we explain which data are processed when you visit it, what for, and how to exercise your rights under Panama's personal data protection law, Law 81 of 2019.
What data are collected
- The site has no forms and no user accounts: it never asks for your name, email or phone number.
- Visit measurement with Google Analytics 4: pages viewed, clicks on the WhatsApp and call buttons, device type and browser, approximate location (country and city) and where you came from. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- Hosting technical logs: IP address, date and page requested, which the server keeps for security and operation.
Cookies
Google Analytics only uses cookies (_ga and _ga_*, which tell visits apart and can last up to two years) if you accept them in the notice shown when you arrive. Until you accept, or if you reject them, Analytics stores no cookies or identifiers in your browser and only receives anonymous activity signals. We do not use advertising cookies.
You can change your mind at any time from “Cookie preferences” at the foot of every page; if you reject them, any existing ones are deleted. The site works exactly the same either way. In Google Analytics, data associated with users and events are kept for 14 months; aggregated statistical reports may be kept longer.
What they are used for
To learn which pages are of interest, how visitors arrive and how many contact each restaurant, so we can improve the site. We do not sell data or use them for personalised advertising.
WhatsApp, calls and email
When you tap a WhatsApp or call button, the conversation happens outside this site, directly with the restaurant. WhatsApp (Meta) applies its own privacy policy. Whatever you share to book is used by the restaurant only to handle your booking or event.
Who data are shared with
With Google, which processes Analytics data on our behalf and may do so outside Panama, and with our web hosting provider. More information: how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can also block Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability by writing to either restaurant through the channels on the contact page. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can turn to the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI), Panama's data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, you will see it reflected in the update date on this page.
